Are there any beauty tips your mother has past down to you?

just interested in the passing info down the generation, and if any of it really works :)Are there any beauty tips your mother has past down to you?
basically that less is more..i remember being little and thinking she was soooooo glamourous with her chanel perfume and her Jackie O sunglasses (my dad said she looked more like Adam Ant then Jackie O haha) and her red lipstick..it wasnt until i was older that she confessed it wasnt by choice..it was because she woke up really late and didnt have time to do the rest of her makeup!! all she had time to do was lipstick and a spray of perfume and she never looked more beautiful to me! sooo that and vaseline..she was all about vaseline..she would put a little bit over her eyes to make her lashes look shiny (like she was wearing clear mascara) and it made her eye shadow have this cool mirror effect cuz it was so shiny..it was actually pretty cool and she would use a bit to smooth her eyebrows and she was done..she had the quickest makeup routine ever!!Are there any beauty tips your mother has past down to you?
Apply milk cream on ur face.let it dry for half an hour.wash it off with soap and water.ur skin will be shiny and smooth.i hate the smell of milk cream.but it works.
Stay out of the sun. Drink plenty of water.
Always cover up blemishes and zits. It makes your face look so much better. Basically, cover everything, BUT DO NOT COVER UP BIRTHMARKS!
Wash your face often
its a simple one- wash your face thrice a day to keep it fresh and glowing, and it also prevents pimples
