Oh, use Vaseline or something close to that instead of clear mascara, it makes a difference and it's good for your lashes.
Umm, you should slightly rub your lips with your toothbrush before brushing your teeth in the night and put Vaseline on your lips afterwards.
ALWAYS apply chapstick/lip balm when your lips are chapped.
Stick to herbal shampoos- it's naturally good for your hair!
Salt rubs are great right before shaving- they really give you a closer, smoother shave.
Dark mascara, bright red lips, and well-groomed brows really make a difference. Just putting mascara on (or curling your lashes) makes your eyes look so much brighter. Avon has super dark masaca that looks really dramatic. Well-shaped brows also open your eyes up, but be careful- super thin brows tend to age people. The hot trend right now is thick brows. If you decide to follow this trend, make sure you still pluck stray hairs- they keyword is thick, not messy. Red lips with little or no eye make-up is a feminine, retro look that looks great on a lot of people. Christina Aquilera has changed her whole look by using bright red lips (granted, she changed her hair and clothing, but the red lips do make a huge difference.) Try out a few different brands until you find the perfect shade that goes with your skin tone. Good luck!
Replace foundation/powder with tinted mousterizer
Highlight your eyes with a light gold/silver/pink/white: apply under brows and near tearducts to open up your eyes
To get ';puffier'; lips, brush your lips with a toothbrush and then apply your product (buffs lips)
Bronzer across cheeks and nose gives you a nice sunkissed look. (can also be used as eyeshadow)
Don't always spend so much money on namebrand makeup, the stuff at local drugstores aren't that bad and it saves a whole bunch of cash so you have more money to buy clothes. You dont want to walk around with perfect makeup and dressed in rags. If youre allergic to drugstore makeup then of course go for the more expensive ones, other than that, you should wait to buy the expensive stuff when you have a really really good paying job.
Honestly...I drink 100 ounces of water a day. I wash my face in the morning and before bed, and I moisturize after washing it. Once a week, I use a gentle scrub to help exfoliate it even more. So it's easy.....
1-wash
2-moisturize
3-drink 100 ounces of water a day, every day
4-gentle scrub 1 x a week
I quit smoking two years ago also, and even my parents said they could tell that my complexion was a lot better.
I think the best thing is to be creative and stylish. Try maybe watching the Style Network (check your local listings) to get great ideas and advice. You don't have to spend a lot to look stylish. Maybe add accessories to a favorite outfit or try a different hair-do.
Make up is also always fun to get creative with. Try experimenting with colors that you normally wouldn't use. Maybe go with smokey eyes for an evening out, or playful light colors (pinks, corals, light green/blues) for a day out with the girls. This can also depend on your eye color. One thing I notice if you have brown eyes, you have a variety of colors that can work. But if you have blue or green, go with darker colors that would compliment your eyes.
Another thing you can do is, if you have some $$ to spend, go to your favorite make up counter at your fave dept. store and have them do a make over for you. They can show you what colors go with your skin tone and eyes. And usually they don't charge you anything, except maybe only having to purchase something. But that should be easy if they show you how to use certain colors, you can buy the colors (eye shadow and/or lipstick) and also know how to use them! Simple!!
Make up is fun!! Dressing up is too! The key thing is don't be afraid to try new things, experiment with what you have, accessorize and HAVE FUN!! Good luck!
Whatever u do, never take more than 4 inches off your hair. Sometimes w/ that u go fab to drab..
